FINE SILVER (PURE SILVER) Fine Silver is more valuable than Sterling because it has a higher silver content. Fine Silver is marked .999 to indicate 99.9% pure silver. Sterling is only 92.5%, marked .925. Fine Silver is more tarnish resistant than Sterling and has a bright white luminescence.
